Retail
manager jobs
Malls,
departmental stores and ever-increasing boutiques have changed the
face of the country's buying market, or should we saying the selling
market. Though the malls provide a source of entertainment through
the weekend, it does empty the buyer's pockets. And helpful, smiling
retail managers do manage to twist many-an-arm to make the purchase.
Well,
all said and done, with this scenario dominating India, in the metropolitan
cities, as well as the smaller satellite cities and towns, there
is an increase in the retail manager jobs. And employers are looking
at professional retail managers, as the competition is ever-increasing
and the need to attract customers is the need of the hour.
The
retail manager is required to supervise the sales of the store,
as well as the sales executives. While the manager does not have
to interact with the customer all the time, yet there are times
when he/she is needed to step in to save a team member from an awkward
situation.
Apart
from supervising the floor, in some retail outlets, the manager
is responsible for also strategizing ways and means of maximizing
sales and also conducts quality checks on all products. Some managers
also have to take the additional responsibilities of recording the
cash collections and maintaining records. But then, the excitement
and promotion prospects lie in taking additional responsibilities.
